Euclidia welcomes new members: Rudder and Aqua Ray

Barcelona, Berlin, Paris, Wien, November 24th, 2021 - Since launching in July, Euclidia has garnered a lot of interest on both the european cloud technology and political scene. After defining its onboarding process and conducting its first member votes in October, Euclidia today announces its first new members: Rudder is joining as full member and Aqua Ray as associated member. The alliance is currently preparing a number of government clouds to present alternatives to non-european solutions to all EU member state governments.

"Euclidia embodies what we consider the true nature of the European sovereign Cloud. Mostly made of strong SMEs, each of them being a leader in its own specialty. Together we ought to raise awareness and let the public know the sovereign alternative to foreign big techs already exists. Independence, vertical integration and Open Source being the DNA of Aqua Ray, we are delighted to do our part in this ecosystem." adds Raphael Nicoud, CEO of Aqua Ray, new associated member of Euclidia.

Alexandre Brianceau, CEO of Rudder, newest Euclidia member, confirms: "As a provider of system infrastructure automation solutions, especially for the cybersecurity of hybrid clouds, our customers are particularly attentive to the origin of technologies. Sovereign interests go beyond data hosting needs: the entire value chain must bear the European colors. Euclidia is the only 100% European initiative, and I am extremely honored that Rudder is joining the effort of our peers to promote innovative, sustainable, and European solutions to all."

Jean-Paul Smets, co-president of Euclidia summarizes: "We are glad to welcome new members through a clear process which combines due diiligence with a vote open to all Euclidia members."

The alliance is currently preparing a set of solutions for government clouds based on European technologies. These solutions combine European-based cloud providers and software solutions from Euclidia members. They will be offered to governments of European member states looking for a cloud which protects their strategic autonomy.
